Founded by Shamal Matange in the year 2019 after working for more than 20 yrs in corporate as Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health and safety profesionnal decided to come up with a sustainable fashion startup.
At Shyama, we curate and design clothing for those who care about the planet. We create eco-friendly, long-lasting, traditional, and stylish products. Our offerings include handloom sarees and a variety of apparel made from sustainable, ethically sourced materials like linen, cotton, and banana fibers. We’re here to raise awareness about the importance of choosing ethically sourced, sustainable clothing.

In 2019, Shamal Matange took the bold step of founding Shyama, inspired by a vision of a more responsible and environmentally conscious fashion industry. Her diverse background and deep expertise in quality assurance, environmental protection, and safety standards have uniquely positioned her to lead Shyama’s mission.
